I took this a few days ago while walking to clear my mind at Magnolia Falls Park in Columbia. This is how I practice what I serve, a walking retreat for about 30 minutes to connect with the elements and feel harmony within and without.
I titled this installment like I did because I found this while cleaning out papers. Clearing my space while clearing my mind and heart. This type of clearing also included a look at my perspective then and now. And wow, I have shifted. I imagine you can relate. The date of this writing is 2/26/2016 and it’s a long one so I’m just going to type it. You tell me what you think, how you feel. Here goes:
We Fail Jesus Daily!
For those who are Christians I bring you these thoughts. It seems to me the everlasting message of the prophet Jesus is that you are the Christ. The power and presence, all the attributes used to describe Jesus the Christ are also each of ours. Jesus’ message to poor, disenfranchised Jews was that the power they needed to create an abundant life was given to them by their birth. Any person born has the same abilities as any holy person thus we are free from any external controls unless we will to have them. It seems that if we really were disciples of Jesus we would be our own Christ, create our conscious relationship with the Creator or Creative Principle and look to no man, not even Jesus, to save, guide or direct us. His relationship within his visible ministry to others was with his Creator, whom he called God or Father, Abba, and himself. He modeled and taught people to look within their heart, mind and soul to discover Divinity and to then be its vessel. The Creator energy within then guides, directs and makes the way for each person. Everytime we defer something to Jesus the Christ, as if he is responsible for anything related to our lives is much like blaming and expecting your older brother to always fight your battles, provide your blessings and save you from your illusionary self.
Jesus cannot and does not save you. You save you by fully waking up to the truth that its all within you and only you and the Creator, Creative Principle, can manifest your good. We modern people waste more time and energy looking to Jesus or any other prophet to save, guide or direct us, when without fail, it appears to me, that they all said “seek ye the kingdom of heaven that is within…” Jesus was obedient to his Creator and manifested the optimal human experience; he apparently allowed his body to ‘die’ and then he woke his body back up into this physical world. He told us to do the work, being obedient to the Holy Spirit, the manifest energy presence of the Creative Principle, within each of us. He told us that he had to leave because as long as he remained he knew people would rely on him and not do their own work. He was right! So many millions are still relying on him or others to do their salvation work for them, and to ‘save’ them when they sin. Miss the mark, transgress. No one and nothing can save you but yourself; your decision to wake up, get conscious about living and know the truth. You are the Christ, unmanifested. God is waiting on you to recognize the truth and begin your awakening. We continue to fail Jesus when we call upon him, not as a tutor, a mentor, but as a crutch. We fail every prophet made known to us in mono-theistic, Neo-modern teachings. Other cultures and conceptualizations recognize that the spiritual assistance appropriate to seek is from your ancestors, family and yourself. We waste time jousting with each other of varying belief systems when the Creative Principle is the foundation and source of every element of existence. And at present, It remains beyond our knowing. We waste time and dishonor our prophets because we keep falling for the same okey doke games we play and that others create and we join in with. Jesus gave poor people the means to fully realize their freedom, their destiny. But fear in the form of greed and willfulness and too many other traits to mention, kept them poor and slaved out by ruling classes and religious leaders and that continues through today.
The young and thoughtful who are opting out of orthodox religious life do it from this awareness and frustration. Its not because they have no desire or meed for fellowship, guidance or support. It’s because they realize the old has already passed away yet so many continue to cling to and preach about that which is already dead. There is no genuine life coming out of religions today. The age has changed, the shift has happened. Waking up, taking up your bed and walking has always felt physically daunting but the physical is also an illusion, just like the video games that appear real. It’s time to feed your mind the new food, open your heart to the new planetary vibration and ask the new minds to guide you. Otherwise more of us will perish.
Well, this was daunting reading and typing this. I must say this still rings true for me as I continue to grow. Developing a spiritual practice that feeds your soul is essential. Here’s to each of us on our soul journey.
Peace & Blessings,
Philana
